A lovely carousel ride around all things BrocanteHome. For the woman who wants to live a life less ordinary…

There is nothing like a fresh start is there? The wiping of the slate clean and the spring into a gorgeous new season? So today brings the first of a new “digest” of loveliness from BrocanteHome. You see once upon a time, I posted a regular feature called the Housekeeper’s Carousel and that is what I want to create here: a happy little hop around the internet, featuring all manner of eclectic scrumptiousness, inspiration and joy.

Shall we get started?

RANDOM BITS OF LOVELINESS…

First up, This little tea-set made my heart go giddy-up. Oh to have such talent! Next, I love Leo Babauta’s advice to “get bigger than yourself” in this postThat feels important to me. Ooh, and I was inspired by Erin Boyle’s approach to the Zero Waste Bathroom here because it really got me thinking about my own attitude to packaging and disposables. On the same theme, I thought these re-usable cotton bowl covers were gorgeous. And finally I was thrilled to read that violent games probably aren’t hurting our kids no matter what scare-stories might be doing the rounds…

DO…

* Take this FREE More Money + More Happy Bootcamp from Yes and Yes because we could all use a bit more more money and a whole lot of happy right?

* Practise these eleven yoga poses to counteract the dreaded afternoon slump..

* Order one of these lovely glass diffuser bracelets so you can wear essential oils close to your skin and wander in around in the bliss of an aura of your own blending…

* And watch SMILF. It’s crude, rude and so utterly human it hurts.

READ…

* Speaking of Home: Being the Essays of A Contented Woman by Lillian Hart Tryon because it has stood the test of a century gone by, really rather delightfully…

* And Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Because if you haven’t read it yet you are going to be thanking me for the rest of your life. Honestly. Eleanor is that wonderful.

PUTTER…

* This week behave as if you are leaving for a well-earned break over the Easter holiday and send yourself into a Spring cleaning frenzy so you can truly feel the arrival of Spring in every corner of your house before Good Friday arrives…

* And decide on a color scheme for a more cohesive Spring garden and get busy painting pots and troughs for a little dose of happiness outside…

TREAT YOURSELF…

* By re-stocking your essential oil supplies over at Vitality Extracts (My essential oil company of choice these days mostly because I ADORE their Sweet Dreams blend), by using this link to get a rather wonderful 20% off your first order…

* And getting into the Gratitude Habit with a gorgeous journal like this one...

ENJOY…

* A cup of medicinal tea and cure what ails you with frequent cups of cozy…

* And whip up a super speedy gingerbread loaf cake with this fail-safe recipe from Marsha’s Baking Addiction. Because. I. Just. Can’t. Get. Enough.
