Tidy Up Day
So today is the day we focus on bringing order to our surroundings – a task that can expand to fill as much time as you have available or indeed shrink to include just the one or two tasks you MUST do to prevent a domestic health and safety issue!
The most important thing is that you focus your mind not on scrubbing, puttering or crafting but firmly upon de-cluttering, organizing, or straightening. In this way, you teach yourself to reserve this one day for organizing whatever aspect of your life is crying for attention.
While it may be possible for you to have a set “tidying” routine in place, what matters more is that you get into the rhythm of focusing your attention on creating order, rather than simply going through the motions weekly. This allows for change to your schedule and special attention to areas that truly need it that week.
