It’s here! 2019 has arrived and here on Brocantehome I am giddy with excitement about all that I will be offering over the New Year ahead…

You see I want this to be the year that as one we elevate our lives way beyond all the clutter and uncertainty we have been dragging around for too many years now. I want us to step into our strength as women in our own right. As Mothers, partners, friends and daughters.

As women on the path to a life less ordinary.

Yes. Over the next twelve months, I want you to understand that it is ok to be you. That YOU are enough to guide the ship that that is your own authenticity towards a place of true contentment. I want you to learn to trust your own instinct and to never be afraid of the consequences. I want you to dare to dream bigger dreams, create a home that reflects who you really are, a home designed to please your inner muse, a home that feels like a hug even when it is messier than you want it to be.

I want you to feel at home with yourself. To be at home wherever you are.

I want you to embrace the chaos and the mess that comes with moving your life forward, to still the voice that says “not now” and to do it anyway. To be able to look in the mirror without cringing at the wrinkles creasing up your eyes and to buy the dress because it makes you feel beautiful regardless. I want you to cut through the clutter, edit your life until only what matters is left and to learn to treasure all that you own while giving up the kind of guilt that ties you to all you no longer need.

I want you to stop being scared. To stop relying on the kind of crutches compromising your wholeness and I want you to stop bending over backward to please other people and learn once and for all to please yourself.

I want commitment from you. The promise that you will do the deep work it takes to truly alter the course of your life and that you will no longer permit the nagging voice of doubt to stand between who you are now and who you want to be by the end of 2019. I want you to understand that anything worth having asks you to unpick old ideas and banish bad ideas. That it asks you to be brave. To scratch away at the years of lies we have told ourselves, about ourselves and to start wearing our truth like perfume.

I want you to be loud and brave and quiet and certain that the time is right.

I want you to know that I am here for you. That I am here to hold your hand because I have been you. And above all else I want you to know that you can do this. All of it.

That by next New Years’ Day, life can, should, will be different.

This then is BrocanteHome, 2019.
