As promised, my lovely Housekeepers I am thrilled to announce that Life, Love and Vintage Housekeeping has now been extended and reformatted and is exclusively available for the Kindle!
Chosen from the best of the blog posts here on BrocanteHome, Life, Love and Vintage Housekeeping describes life in this here little cottage and is I think testimony to the power of a house to go on mending a heart over and over again.
Preparing this book for the Kindle has been something of a labour of love and many times over the past few weeks I have sat in tears as I re-read my own writing, and saw how very much I have relied on all the teeny pleasures of domesticity to shore against my own ruin, and indeed how much Motherhood has, in the last nine years, shaped me as a woman.
Truth is some of these little essays are cringe-worthy (especially during my giddy dating days!), but more often there is pathos in my writing I am barely aware of as I let it spill here and in pulling together these short essays resplendent with laughter and loneliness, lavender and lace I have sewn a thread through a story you occasionally have to read between the lines to understand, but one which ultimately describes a love affair with a house and a little boy with an indomitable spirit and so much joy it is coming out of his ears.
This then is a testimony to faith in domesticity. To Motherhood and heartbreak. And I hope that in it’s pages you will find inspiration to keep on layering your home with love so that in it’s arms you will find comfort, sanctuary and joy.

Finally, I want to say, yet again, thank-you. Your consistent support of Brocantehome and all that I produce here, makes all the difference to Finley and I, and in hairy-scary times means I can continue the fight to keep this lovely roof over our heads, so please know how very grateful I am to anybody and everybody who has bought one of my books or PDF’s, signed up to be a Housekeeping Superstar, or to have one of my scrumptious new Pep-Talks (dates going out this afternoon Pep-Talkers: look out for an email please!).
And P.S: for the next three days as part of a Kindle Select promotion, you can get my first little offering “Scrumptious Treats For Vintage Housekeepers” absolutely free on Amazon!
