I hope everything sorts itself out, Alison. Obviously, I don't know what it is that you and Richard are having to do, but I wish you all the best. As you say, this too shall pass. *hugs*

Alison, I don't know if you have heard of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), but based on your symptoms, I think the meridian tapping could be hugely helpful to you. It can be done by/on yourself for free, and it's very good at opening up blockages in the body--the kinds of things that are hurting you physically but are likely created by the body as a way to deal with anger, fear, etc. I hope you'll try the Technique sometime--I know it has been great help to my husband.

Alison, for goodness sakes, relax...at least about the writing bit. It will get done when it gets done. Let it go, along with the aches and pains, and focus on something you find to be wonderful. Your inspiration will return and the work will be easy.

Oh my goodness. I understand totally, even though you don't share ever detail. Any sort of pent-up exhaustion is so debilitating. Hope you can rest when that journey is over. Hugs, sweet thing.

Alison, please give yourself permission to take a good long break--just continue working your little garden, baking and resting. Don't worry about doing the knit-a-long, that can wait for some other time when you're feeling better.

Alison, this is such a truthful and honest post, thank you. Baby steps out of this and whatever you have to do will get done. You always light up my day whenever you post and in this fast crazy world you do a wonderful job of it. Blessings to you.

Bless you for your honesty! I have felt much the same lately...feeling as if whole days are frittered away, unable to be productive.

This summer you must make a Rose Elixir: Fill a preserving jar with red, deeply scented rosepetals and then pour in 1/3 pint honey and top up with brandy. Stir well, screw on the lid and let it sit in the pantry, cool and dark, for three or four weeks. Then strain and discard the petals. If you have an abundant supply of roses, repeat with fresh petals, to reinfuse the same honey-brandy mixture. Then strain into a clean jar or bottle. The exact recipe is at www.learningherbs.com. It is excellent for all sorts of malaise - actually, it is just plain excellent;)
